The last couple years since January 2020 when the covid chaos was thrust upon us has brought an unexpected side effect; more exploration closer to home. Normally Theresa and I would fly somewhere abroad, not unlike many Canadians, and as a result would take our immediate surroundings for granted. But the pandemic conundrum meant major issues travelling outside Canada. Solution; travel closer to home..and why not as British Columbia and the rest of Canada offers some of the worlds most incredible scenery, right in our backyard. Result...a good camera, lots of reading, trial and error and a new hobby.
Electrician, woodworker, musician, cyclist, skier, traveler, husband, father and  now a photo junkie from Vernon BC. I picked up a camera a few years ago and found I still had room for another interest!
My gear;  Nikon D750 full frame
My lenses;  Nikon 80-400 zoom, 16-35 wide, 70-300DX, 50mm prime
Misc;  Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod, Kase filters
My experience; I started taking a serious interest in photography in 2018. Self taught, determined,
about 4 years of trial and error, plenty of reading, asking questions and many you-tube video's...
(if you like something enough, the learning becomes easy!
